Glasses

Clay was having a hard time seeing so I took him to the eye doctor. The night before we went he got something in his eye. We thought we had gotten it out but when we went to the eye doctor he found a piece of plastic that was on his eyelid so every time he blinked it was scratchings is eye. So he got it out and we had to go back a few days later to get his eye exam. He had to have glasses. He was a little bummed but he has done a pretty good job at wearing them. He doesn't have to wear them all the time. I think that he looks very handsome with them on.

Swimming Lessons

The boys had swimming lessons and both did a great job. They are now ready for the pool for the summer. We hope to visit it every week if the weather corporates.

Kindergarten Graduation

Tyler has graduated form kindergarten and is now all ready for 1st grade. They had a cute program that I recorded put for some reason I can't load it. I'm so proud of him and Clay for doing a great year in school.

Zoo

For Memorial weekend we went to the Hogal Zoo with Dell and Ladeena Grandma Peterson, Brenna, Caryn, Aimee, Kevin and Carie and Sue and Caleb. It didn't start off great. Mom and Dad got into a little fender bender which delayed them. This year instead of me coming home with useless feet, we borrowed a wheelchair, which Randy pushed me around. It was so nice to come home and not have my feet killing and the next day be just fine. I think we will have to remember that for next time.

The cheetah was pacing back and forth when we were there. It was fun watching him watch us. We had a blast and can't wait to go back next year.

Nestle 5k

It has become a tradition in our family to go to the Nestle 5k fun run in Springville for the start of Art City Days.

The group of runners (minus Steve who forgot his running shoes and drove all the way home to get them).

It is too hard for the picture taker to take pictures of everyone out on the road, so I can only get pictures as we come near the finish line, and this race ended on the Springville High School track.

I didn't see Randy Tyler cross the finish line, so here they are posing nicely for me.

Mom pushing the 3 man jogging stroller!

Teto rode all the way in the jogging stroller, but he wanted to run across the finish line, and he could do so since he had a race number.

Camping at Burrston Ponds

We went camping at Burrston Ponds in Mona. Mom and Dad Archuleta came in the afternoon and we sat around the fire and visited for awhile, then did a few hours of fishing. This is the first year I have gotten me a fishing license since We go often and I'm the only one not fishing so I got one so I could fish too. No one around the ponds were catching fish, so we didn't really expect to catch any either, but it is just fun to try. My mom was the only one who caught one, and a good 12" one at that, it was pretty exciting. Dad and our Clay each caught fingerlings, but let them go as they were too small to eat. Randy's parents came and joined us for hotdogs and roasted marshmallows. After everyone had left we sat a around the fire a little longer and notice rain was coming so we packed everything up for the night and put what we could in the truck in case we got to wet at night and we could just grab out pillows and go home. Luckily it only rained for a few minutes and we just went right to bed since we were already in the tent. We had a fun time just relaxing.

Clay & Tyler looking bored. They really wanted to go fishing and us adults just weren't moving fast enough.

Clay watching me take care of my fish - kind of hard to see it in moms hands

Isn't that such a sweet face. Tyler was bored with fishing because there was no action, so while he was playing around, Dad caught this cute photo.

Hersey Track meet

CLat was excited for his first track meet. He had could choose 3 events out of 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and baseball throw. He chose 100m, in which he took 2nd place in the trials and 4th place in the semi finals, and 2nd place in the 400m. He started out strong and in first place, but 1/2 way through he got caught and passed. He signed up for the baseball throw, but I think he missed it, or if he threw, we weren't aware of it.

Sorry

I know that the next several post are at least a month behind. But better late then never. I promise to do better in the future.
