The Big Snow Storm of 2010

It snowed so much this day that they canceled the last day of school before winter break. The school district hasn’t canceled school in 25 years.

For me this was one of the worst snow days of my life.
Randy had to work and asked my to shovel. I don’t shovel a lot because it make the pains I already have 10 times worse. But I told him I would. I was hoping that one of my neighbors with there 4-wheelers would come and help, but know one came. I took me 4 hours to do it my self. I even had to clear what the snowplow had done, because if I hadn’t there would have been no way Randy could have pulled into the driveway. Don’t I just have wonderful neighbors? Whatever. I just plan on never doing it again.

Crèche

Dell and Ladenna invited me to go to the Crèche Exhibit but I didn’t want to drive there alone, so I invited Malinda.

They had a room for kids to play right in the middle. It had pictures to color and crèche's to play with.

Christmas at the Nursing Home

I have some friends that have been tying quilts to give to the long term residents of the nursing home. So I have been helping them tying. Right before Christmas we all went with our kids and handed them out and sang Christmas Carols. It was so nice to be able to give back to someone else this Holiday Season. I felt like this Christmas meant more to us, because we gave. I would like to do something like this every year so my boys can learn the true meaning of Christmas. The residents just loved their new quilts. I think each one of us had bonded with someone there. I had a guy that was so interested in were my ancestor's are from. He loved my skin tone and just kept telling me that I was beautiful. I asked a group if it was alright if we sang, one gentleman said only if we could sing. I told him that we all belong to a Choir and would hope we could sing. It was a wonderful way to spend the Holiday with my Family and Friends.
