Halloween

For Halloween Clay was a Soldier and Tyler was Scooby doo. They had a costume parade at school.

Then I went to help in Tyler's class. My project was Oreo spiders.

They also had Ghost suckers, Halloween Bingo, and Rock pumpkins. The Kids had a lot of fun.

Tyler and Mrs. Mitchell.

I went to take a picture of clay with Mr. Lai but the batteries died. So Mr Lai let me use his camera and said he would e-mail me the picture. So I got the picture.

Then we went to our wards trunk-or-treat.

I was so busy handing out candy and help the activities comm. with the chili cook off that I didn't have a chance to take a picture of the boys. But my Dad did and I will get those pictures from him. The chili cook off went great we had a lot of great chilli's. After I help take my decorations down I took the boys trick-or-treating. They walked house to house will I followed behind in the car. Between the trunk-or-treat and trick-or-treating the made out like bandits.

I think they candy might last until Easter, there is two bucket full. They can't believe they got so much. It was a great Halloween. The only thing that would have made it better is if Randy didn't have to work.

TAGGED!!!

So I have been tagged. I love read other peoples tags but I really didn't want to do one myself. But I decided I should step out off my comfort zone and join in.

1. I hate reading, but love to listen to books on tape. In the past two years I have read 2 books but have listened to hundreds of books on tape. I started when I had a newspaper route, and need something to help pass the time bye. I could listen to 2-3 a week. Now that I don't have a paper route I can only get through maybe 2-4 a month. I mostly listen to them when I'm driving and cleaning my house.

2. I hate house work. If you come to my house unexpectedly you will find that it isn't clean. I usually have a sink full of dish to put in the dish washer, two - three weeks of laundry to wash a floor that needs to be moped. I HATE cleaning, but love having a clean house. So if you ever come to my house please let me know ahead of time so it will be clean.

3. I hate to be teased. I think it was because I was teased so much as a child. I take it personal. I have a hard time telling if someone is teasing or not. Randy teases me a lot and I end up in a very bad mood. So please don't tease me because you never know how I will take it.

4.I love to watch T.V. I have an addiction to the t.v. I have at least 4-6 shows I record every night. I have so many that I'm a few weeks behind on a lot of them.

5.I hate shopping for clothes. I always see lots of cute clothes but when I try them on a lot of the times I hate how they look on me. I will buy something that I like and wear once and hate it while wearing it that I end up taking it back. I do better when I have someone with me and if they like it and I like it then I end up loving it. So I prefer to window shop.

6. I have a big mouth. In the since that I say usually whats on my mind. It can get me into trouble sometimes. Most of the time it comes out the wrong way and I offend people. So if I ever offend you please tell me because it usually isn't what I meant.

7. I love the computer. If I'm not watching t.v. then the other place you'll find me is on the computer. I check my blog and everyone else's blogs, my e-mail all the time. If I'm not doing that then I'm playing some kind of game.

So I don't know how this tagging thing works. But I tag.

Finger nails

I don't know what is up with my family this last week, but it seams like each of us has gotten hurt. last Wednesday I dropped a empty jar on my big toe and it was a really pretty shad of pink and purple. The color has faded but it still hurts a little. Then Clay and his eye and then his asthma attack and now Randy. Last night at work he was changing a metal panel and he finger nail was next to the brick floor and when he was moving the panel the brick caught his finger nail and ripped it cleanly off. It looks like he painted his nail red but he didn't.

At work the nurse wasn't there so some guy put ointment one it and put gaze around it. When he asked his mom to change the bandage the gaze was stuck to the nail bed and wouldn't come off. So he suck his finger under warm water gently pulling on the gaze to remove it.It took him around 30 minutes to remove the gaze.

After ward he had his mom (who is a nurse) fix it up. As she was fixing it up the bandage would move and he would flinch which I hardly ever see him do. Just the sliest bump will hurt. I can only image how pain full it is. He said when it happen I didn't hurt, he just felt a little pain a few minutes later. I just don't know about us now we all just keep getting hurt. Hope this trend will go away quickly.

The reason we had gone to his mom and dad's was so Randy could help his dad with the kitchen. The dish washer has sprung a leak and caused so damage that will need to be fixed right away. They realized they couldn't do anything until the insurance guy came. He comes tomorrow, so instead the built a self. While they were doing that we looked at mine and grandma Peterson's coin collections. Then I got on there computer and set a blog up for his mom, I hope she will post on it. She sees how much I love it so I hope she Will too. While I was showing her how to use it she let Tyler paint one her pumpkins. He did a great job.
Clay didn't want to so he just watched. He was hoping I would get off the computer so he could get on. I hope that next week will be a better week for the Peterson's.

48 hours

It has been a long 48 hours. It started Sunday night. Clay went to bed with a cough and didn't fall asleep until 1am coughing. Then he woke up at 5:30 am and I gave him more cough and cold medicine. When it was time for school he was sounding worse so I let him stay home. At 12:30 pm Randy woke up for the day and I was on my way out to take Tyler to school and then go to work. I told Randy that Clay was worse, and that he now was weasing and if he wanted he could call and make an appointment with the pediatrician.(when were I think they need to go Randy doesn't so I left it up to him). He called me right before I got off work and had made an appointment for 3:45. So I came home Had lunch and then took him in. When we got there they noticed how much work it was taking him to breath. They hooked him up to a monitor that find out how much oxygen was in his system. He was at 83% which is very low. They said that he was having an asthma attack and need to have a steroid shot and a breathing treatment. So they got him started on that.

Clay at the doctors office.

Then Dr. Knochel said he need to go to the hospital right away. So I was like I can leave now and be there in 20-30 minutes. He was no he needs to transported by ambulance. Clay need to be on oxygen and that he couldn't be on oxygen if I took him. When I called Randy this he wasn't to happy that he needed to go by ambulance, because it was going to be expensive. I agreed but said in Clays best interest it would be to go in the ambulance. So the EM T's pick us up and took us to Utah Valley Hospital.

In the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Clay's favorite part was riding in the ambulance

Unloading Clay at the Hospital.

The nice thing about going to the doctor first we were able to by pass the ER. They took Clay straight up to the pediatrician unit. We were there for about 2 hours before I found out that he was going to have to stay over night. They like one parent to stay over night too. Since Randy had to work it was I who got to stay. Randy had drooped Tyler off at his Mom and Dad's before he went to work and made Tyler king for the night. Bought him his own cheese pizza and made his fell special. Later my Mom and Dad and Randy's Mom and Dad came, because I wanted Clay to have a blessing. While waiting for them to show up a volunteer came to the room and asked clay if he wanted to play a game. She brought in a Nintendo 64 and played baseball with him for a while, then grandpa Archuleta took over.

Grandpa Archuleta and Clay playing the Nintenso 64

When Tyler showed up then he took over. Its nice that they have different things to help children fell more comfortable durning there stay. Clay loved his dinner, he had chicken breast with Alfredo noddles zucchini fruit roll and 2 cookies. It was funny because before he got dinner he was asking the nurse he they had grapes and they didn't have any he was really bummed. But when his dinner came it had one grape with it, he thought that was funny. When everyone left they took him down for a chest x-ray it was clear. (when we first took him to the doctor I thought he might be getting a nasty cold or bronchitis). The breathing treatments they had his on made him a little hipper so he didn't go to sleep until after 2:30 am. And because I didn't have the things I need and between the alarms going off about every hour I only got about two hours of sleep. This morning with Dr. Paxton came in Clay was doing so much better that they released him. I hope that we never have to go through this again for his sake and for mine. It has been along couple of days. I will be glad when this one is over and I can sleep.

Swimsuits

I found my swimsuits. Thanks to all of you who gave me suggestions. It took me along time on the Internet before I found the ones that I liked. I choose two, one because it was on sale and the other because I wanted one like it.

I choose this one because it was on sale for 9.98 and I really like the color and style. I just hope that I will like the way it will look on me. I found it at http://www.swimsuitsforall.com They had a lot of cute swimsuits.

The other one I choose I found at https://ohanaswimwear.com I like this one for the coverage. I like the shorts so I don't fell as naked on bottom. I like the top because it looks more like a take top and it's so revealing.

They are two different swimsuits but I hope they will both fit and I will like how they will fit on my.

Battle wounds

Clay got his very first battle wound playing football. Well actually they were just warming up. He was playing running back and his best Buddie Brody was QB and they bonked heads. Brody forehead smashed into Clays right cheek right under the eye. had a little gash had to take him to the doctors after hours. It was nice that the doctor is in after hours so I didn't have to go to the insta-care. The doctor told Clay he could either have a couple of sitches or he could glue it closed. Clay opted for the glue. ( he is the biggest whimp when it comes to needles) The glue will hold for a week, long enough for it to close and then it will just fall off. The doctor said he probably won't have a scare but that area could be red for up to a year. But all Thur this Clay only cried after it had happened and was brave the rest of the time. He will have a swollen and a black eye for a few days but it will only make him look more tough. I took pictures with my camera phone but couldn't bring them up so as soon as I figure out how to but them up I will add them.

Scentsy Party

So I had my scentsy party tonight and had a few friends and family come. I have never own anything with scentsy, but love that it is wickless and is safe to have around kids. The wax won't burn if you touch it, and I touched it and it doesn't. She said that if it spilled on the carpet it would come all the way out, because that has happened to her. I can't wait to get so and try it out. And if anyone wants to order you still can. Call me and I well give you an order form or you can check out the web site just click on the link. http://www.scentsy.com/3688 If you order on line just let her know your ordering on my party.

Cupcakes

This is my very first attempt at using cake decorating tips. Bought them early this year so Randy could fill my birthday cupcakes with filling. But I have never used them, and have wanted to for a while. So this is my first attempt. Tomorrow we have FHE with my family and I have to bring the dessert. I wanted to do something with Halloween. I came across this owl cupcake, so I thought this is what I have to do. I really wanted to try something new. This is what it is supposed to look like.

And this is what mine looks like.

It kind of looks like the picture. For my very first attempt, I think I did a great job. With more experience I will just get better. I couldn't get the frosting a brighter orange or a darker brown. When I went to buy the doughnuts at the store they didn't have any chocolate covered with just brown sprinkles. I bought glazed instead and would frost my own. For the owls nose it was supposed to be a huge glob of orange frosting shaped like a nose, I didn't want that much frosting so I bought a twist doughnut and cut it in half and then frosted it. Now we while have to wait until tomorrow and see if it taste any good.

Flag Football

Clay has been playing flag football for a couple of weeks now, and he is getting very good. Randy called him a defensive monster. He is pulling flags and best of all he has intercepted the football once every game. He has such a natural talent for playing sports, I think everyone he has tried he excels at. It is so much fun to watch him play and get better everyday. Thought I do hate sitting in the cold. He even played QB and he said he was scared. To many things to worry about, catch the ball pass or throw it. make sure no one pulls your flag, he didn't like it much. He really like being the kicker. He kicked it pretty far. His team has one everyone of their games. It will be fun to see how much better he will get by the end of the season. Clay is #6.

Cruise

So Randy and I been saying that for 10Th anniversary we would go on a cruise. A few months ago we looked into it and it was to expensive and so we weren't going to go,(I was really disappointed). Well we have been keeping an eye out to see if they would get cheaper, and they have. We now can afford to go one one. So today I booked it. It is a Caribbean cruise we go to Rutan Honduras, Belize City Belize, Cozumel, and the Great Stirrup Cay. I'm so excited and can't wait to go. Now the only thing I need is a swimsuit, and it will be hard to find one since it is now winter. So wish me luck in finding the perfect one.

Pumpkin Patch

I thought since Randy is still hunting that I would take the boys out for some fun. I thought they would like to pick their own pumpkins out. So I took them to the Red Barn in Santaquin. Tyler went with his preschool class a few years ago and Clay has never been before. Tyler was trying to remember were it was the whole time in the car, trying to tell Clay, but couldn't quite remember. So we hope on to the wagon rid which they thought was to long, but I thought it was fun going thought the orchards and just enjoy spending time with the boys.

When we got to the pumpkin patch I told them they could choose any pumpkin as long as they could carry it themselves. Clay found a huge one that he could barley carry him self. Then I was trying to help Tyler find one. Will Tyler was looking for the perfect one I found mine and Clay found a different one he liked better, Finally Tyler found the right one, he could barley carry it so I carried it to the wagon since it was kind of far for him to carry it there.

Of course you can't visit the pumpkin patch without taking a few pictures with the cutouts.

I think the highlight of the trip was when Daddy called us. I was nice to hear how he was doing and how much fun he is having even though they aren't finding any animals. We talked to him on the wagon ride bake to the barn, which seemed to go by a lot faster. We went it to pay for the pumpkins and run into Clay and Tyler's school teaches which they thought was cool. We walked around the store a little and I found Cherry and Apple syrup that looked so good (can't wait to try them on some pancakes). I also found some yogurt covered cherry's I couldn't pass up and some corn on the cob popcorn that the boys wanted to try, and of course the boys had to have ice cream even though it is freezing outside. We had so much fun tonight and tomorrow night we will decorate them.
