12 Wedding Anniversary
Randy and I celebrated a 12th wedding Anniversary. He wanted to take me to the Shakespearian Festival in Cedar City, but for some reason I didn't want to go, and I have wanted to go for many years. Instead I told him that I just wanted to stay home and do things with in driving distant. Malinda and Brian watched the Tyler for us Wednesday-Sunday since it was Fall Break for them and they had no School. And Dell and Ladeena and Clay because Dell took him on a scout camp-out.
We ate at some of our favorite places to eat and saw a lot of movies at Movies 8.
A few years ago Randy and I had gone to the Off Broadway Theater in Salt lake and we got free tickets to come back. We had never used them so I though it would be fun to go back. So we went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square Mall. Then to the Off Broadway Theater. This year they had Y-light a spin off of Twilight. The Vampire were from American Forks and went to BYU and the Beer Wolves were form Utah. They had a mix of jokes from the church and from the rival colleges it was really funny. Right before intermission I get a phone call from my dad and I want to take until intermission. I called him back and he said I think Grandpa Nash has probably Died, they are working on him when we get more info we will call you back.
Just to back up a little bit. My grandpa had open heart surgery Thursday October14th. He was doing really good and the doctors told him that they were going to realize him Sunday evening. So this all is happening on Saturday night. I told my dad to call me once he knew anything. Well 5 minutes later he called and said that he had died. I was in shock. I couldn't believe that this was happening, he was doing so well. I sat back down in my seat and told Randy was had happen and then I just started crying. I couldn't believe it. Right before the play started again my dad called and said not to leave Salt lake until they got a hold of my Aunt Vanese. Then intermission was over. If it wasn't for the play being so funny I think I would have cried the whole way through.
After the play was over I called my dad to see if they got a hold of my Aunt. They hadn't yet, so I told him that we would stay in Salt Lake and until the did. My Aunt doesn't drive she takes the bus everywhere and then needed to get her to the hospital. So I said we would wait for her. We would have gone and picked her up right as soon as the play got out but I didn't know where she lived and she lives in a locked community so there was no way to even get her door. So Randy and I went to the improve show. At intermission they still hadn't gotten a hold of her. They finally did 10 minutes before the show was over. After the show we went and pick her up.
Come to find out that they had to call the police tell them what happened and that they couldn't reach her and asked for them to knock at her door. So they did. My Aunt had gone to bed at 8:00pm and had turn her phone off. She was surprised to wake up to cops at her door. My other Aunt and Uncle and gone up to their cabin and it took a little time getting a hold of them. My Grandma had just left the hospital an hour before he had died to go home for the night. And my other Aunt and cousin had just gotten to the hospital right as they had called Code-blue. After we picked my Aunt up we headed to the hospital and then we all just sat there for an hour or so. Then went home. The next day We picked up the boys and we all met over at my grandma's and talked about my grandpa and what had happened.
Lets just say I will never forget the day he died because it was on our Anniversary.
