Battle wounds

Clay got his very first battle wound playing football. Well actually they were just warming up. He was playing running back and his best Buddie Brody was QB and they bonked heads. Brody forehead smashed into Clays right cheek right under the eye. had a little gash had to take him to the doctors after hours. It was nice that the doctor is in after hours so I didn't have to go to the insta-care. The doctor told Clay he could either have a couple of sitches or he could glue it closed. Clay opted for the glue. ( he is the biggest whimp when it comes to needles) The glue will hold for a week, long enough for it to close and then it will just fall off. The doctor said he probably won't have a scare but that area could be red for up to a year. But all Thur this Clay only cried after it had happened and was brave the rest of the time. He will have a swollen and a black eye for a few days but it will only make him look more tough. I took pictures with my camera phone but couldn't bring them up so as soon as I figure out how to but them up I will add them.

Scentsy Party

So I had my scentsy party tonight and had a few friends and family come. I have never own anything with scentsy, but love that it is wickless and is safe to have around kids. The wax won't burn if you touch it, and I touched it and it doesn't. She said that if it spilled on the carpet it would come all the way out, because that has happened to her. I can't wait to get so and try it out. And if anyone wants to order you still can. Call me and I well give you an order form or you can check out the web site just click on the link. http://www.scentsy.com/3688 If you order on line just let her know your ordering on my party.

Cupcakes

This is my very first attempt at using cake decorating tips. Bought them early this year so Randy could fill my birthday cupcakes with filling. But I have never used them, and have wanted to for a while. So this is my first attempt. Tomorrow we have FHE with my family and I have to bring the dessert. I wanted to do something with Halloween. I came across this owl cupcake, so I thought this is what I have to do. I really wanted to try something new. This is what it is supposed to look like.

And this is what mine looks like.

It kind of looks like the picture. For my very first attempt, I think I did a great job. With more experience I will just get better. I couldn't get the frosting a brighter orange or a darker brown. When I went to buy the doughnuts at the store they didn't have any chocolate covered with just brown sprinkles. I bought glazed instead and would frost my own. For the owls nose it was supposed to be a huge glob of orange frosting shaped like a nose, I didn't want that much frosting so I bought a twist doughnut and cut it in half and then frosted it. Now we while have to wait until tomorrow and see if it taste any good.

Flag Football

Clay has been playing flag football for a couple of weeks now, and he is getting very good. Randy called him a defensive monster. He is pulling flags and best of all he has intercepted the football once every game. He has such a natural talent for playing sports, I think everyone he has tried he excels at. It is so much fun to watch him play and get better everyday. Thought I do hate sitting in the cold. He even played QB and he said he was scared. To many things to worry about, catch the ball pass or throw it. make sure no one pulls your flag, he didn't like it much. He really like being the kicker. He kicked it pretty far. His team has one everyone of their games. It will be fun to see how much better he will get by the end of the season. Clay is #6.

Cruise

So Randy and I been saying that for 10Th anniversary we would go on a cruise. A few months ago we looked into it and it was to expensive and so we weren't going to go,(I was really disappointed). Well we have been keeping an eye out to see if they would get cheaper, and they have. We now can afford to go one one. So today I booked it. It is a Caribbean cruise we go to Rutan Honduras, Belize City Belize, Cozumel, and the Great Stirrup Cay. I'm so excited and can't wait to go. Now the only thing I need is a swimsuit, and it will be hard to find one since it is now winter. So wish me luck in finding the perfect one.

Pumpkin Patch

I thought since Randy is still hunting that I would take the boys out for some fun. I thought they would like to pick their own pumpkins out. So I took them to the Red Barn in Santaquin. Tyler went with his preschool class a few years ago and Clay has never been before. Tyler was trying to remember were it was the whole time in the car, trying to tell Clay, but couldn't quite remember. So we hope on to the wagon rid which they thought was to long, but I thought it was fun going thought the orchards and just enjoy spending time with the boys.

When we got to the pumpkin patch I told them they could choose any pumpkin as long as they could carry it themselves. Clay found a huge one that he could barley carry him self. Then I was trying to help Tyler find one. Will Tyler was looking for the perfect one I found mine and Clay found a different one he liked better, Finally Tyler found the right one, he could barley carry it so I carried it to the wagon since it was kind of far for him to carry it there.

Of course you can't visit the pumpkin patch without taking a few pictures with the cutouts.

I think the highlight of the trip was when Daddy called us. I was nice to hear how he was doing and how much fun he is having even though they aren't finding any animals. We talked to him on the wagon ride bake to the barn, which seemed to go by a lot faster. We went it to pay for the pumpkins and run into Clay and Tyler's school teaches which they thought was cool. We walked around the store a little and I found Cherry and Apple syrup that looked so good (can't wait to try them on some pancakes). I also found some yogurt covered cherry's I couldn't pass up and some corn on the cob popcorn that the boys wanted to try, and of course the boys had to have ice cream even though it is freezing outside. We had so much fun tonight and tomorrow night we will decorate them.
